Alverette Williams Rivers

Alverette Williams Rivers entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Passages Hospice at the age of 75. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Loving mother of Leonard III, Edward, Joseph, Kenneth, and Keith Rivers. Daughter of the late Marie Mae Cooper and Alfred Williams. Sister of Vallere Cooper. Niece of the late John Cooper, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Philadelphia Christian Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Philadelphia Christian Church 3127 General Meyer Ave New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. at the above named church.

Interment: McDonoghville Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
