Sterling Foster, Jr.

Sterling Foster departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Mr. Foster was a faithful deacon of St. Mark M B C of Gretna, LA. and a retired Heavy Machine Operator of Jefferson Parish Roads and Bridges.

Beloved husband of Maxine Cannon Foster. Devoted father of Jacquelin Foster, Olanda Foster, Cheryl Foster, Sterling Foster, III, Darrell (Aleatha) Foster, Terrell Foster , Brandon Foster, Sterling Chetham and the late Jeffery and Travis Foster. Grandfather of the late Galen Foster. Son of the late Dorothy and Sterling Foster, Sr. Grandson of the Ebenezer and Geneva Hurst. Brother of Spencer ( Karen) Foster, Ernest (Velma) Foster, Freddie Willie (Lois) Foster, Carolyn Foster and the Frank Foster, Althea Clines and Thedora Williams, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 76 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Roads and Bridges are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church 1929 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, La. on Friday January 26, 2019 at 10:00a.m.
