Idella Thomas Harris

Idella Thomas Harris entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the age of 82.  She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a longtime resident of Westwego, LA. Idella was a graduate of Tensas Rosenwald High School in St. Joseph, LA.  Beloved wife of the late Willie J. Harris, Sr.  Loving mother of Debbie T. Williams, Willie J. Harris, Jr., Gay Lynn Harris, and Adrienne R. Harris.  Grandmother of Torea Torry, Nikita (Jeremy) Dywer, Terrance Wilford, and Adrian Smith-Thomson.  Daughter of the late Charlie and Isabella Shields Thomas.  Sister of Mary T. Bowman, Helen T. Scott. Frances T. Reed of Los Angeles, CA, Ben C. Thomas, George E. Thomas, Delores T. Green, Sallie T. Anderson, and the late Elizah Lee Thomas and Willie Thomas. Sister-in-law of Molly Thomas and Mary Pittman of Jackson, MS; also survived by 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Dominion and Power Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 Fourth St. Westwego, LA on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time the above named church.
