Missionary Ethel “Ester Mae” Williams entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 84. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Missionary Ethel was a retired head cook of the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Loving mother of Renard (Bernadette) Joseph, Clenton (Mary) Joseph, Pastor Valerie (Dwayne) Hooks and Linda (David) Shannon. Daughter of the late Flemon and Bertha Jones. Sister of Sgt. Cornelius Jones, Cora Peters, Lola Roussell, Nolia (Harold) Gibson, Rose Ann Jones, and the late Coretha Johnson, Clara Jones, Ellen Fletcher and Orabell Ambrose; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Mary Baptist Church, 6223 6th Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Edward Joseph, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
