Mary Wing Clarks

Mary Louise Wing Clarks, age 86, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA.  Mary was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System and a graduate of Katie’s Beauty School. She was owner and operator of Clarks Beauty Salon and a retired school bus driver of the Jefferson Parish School Board.  Beloved wife of the late of Willie Clarks, Sr.  Loving mother of Joycelyn Maria, Willie “Bill” Jr.  Darrel George Sr., Royal Edwin Sr., Murphy Leon (Vanessa), Gary Lee Sr. (Lynette), and Carlton Ray Clarks Sr.   Daughter of the late George Wing, Sr. and Mary Gaines Wing Osborne.  Sister of Viney Williams and the late Doris Dixon, Alvin and George Wing Jr. Sister-in-law of Dottie Wing (George Jr.) and Robert Dixon.  Mary is also survived by her childhood friend Vernita R. Favorite, 51 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her kindhearted, giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Impact Christian Church, New Zion Baptist Church of Crown Point, LA and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000  Walkertown Way Marrero, LA on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr., officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the above named church.
