Willis Clofer

Willis “Meatball/Meat” Clofer, age 69, a retired Welding Foreman, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his wife and children.  He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA.  Willis was a graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Delgado Community College. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Loving husband of Rhonda Irvin Clofer.  Devoted father of Danielle (Elfrid) Payton, Chelsa Clofer, Michael (Enjoli) Clofer, and Kimberly Clofer.  Grandfather of Courtney (Corey) Clair, Elfrid M. Payton, Jr., Erin Payton, Haki Bold, Donovan Clofer, Carrington Clofer, Brianna Payton, and Aidan Jefferies.  Great grandfather of Christian and Caleb Clair.  Son of the late Willard and Luverta Clofer.  Brother of Willard (Catherine) Clofer, Hayward (Lois) Clofer, Adam (Diane) Clofer, Rosalie Beckwith, and the late Bobby, Leroy and Arneal Clofer.  Brother-in-law of Deborah (Joseph) Humphrey, Lillian (Mervin) Williams, Sharon Irvin, Karen Irvin, Jordella McClendon, Darrin Irvin, Joseph Humphrey and Mervin Williams.  Godfather of Kirk Gabriel and Tiffany Wilson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Regular Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Melvin C. Zeno, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
