Ethel Mae Kennedy

Ethel Mae Kennedy entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, March 16, 2018 in Concord, CA at the age of 81.  She was a native of Napoleonville, LA, a former resident of resident of Avondale, LA, and presently residing in California.  Ethel retired after 25 years as an LPN.   Beloved mother of William S. (Hettie) Porter III, and Michael Wayne Porter.  Loving grandmother of Esmond, Chrysanthemum, Adonis, D’Micheal, Lisa, Terri, Relf, and Milton.  Daughter of the late Mederick Kennedy, Sr. and Louella Kennedy.  Sister of Joyce Moore, Tyrone (Jackie) Kennedy, Lloyd (Mildred) Bell, James (Hazel) Bell, and the late Mederick Kennedy, Jr., Fredrick Kennedy, Lawerance Kennedy, Sr., Rosie M. Johnson, Florence Penn, Laura M. Jones, and Cora Lee Belt-King; also survived by 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church 212 Marrero Ave. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Charles F. Crawford, Sr., officiating; Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
