Ruby Bouie Ford

Ruby Bouie Ford, age 74, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 26, 2018.  She was a native of Onward, MS and a resident of Westwego, LA. Loving mother of Edward Ford, Sr. (Annette), Lonnie Anthony Ford, Sr. (Tabitha), Elbert Ford, Michael Ford, Tony Ford, Sr. (Shelby), Tammie Frazier (Willie), and Lisa Broome (Charles).  She was also instrumental in the rearing Sherman Shoulder, Sr. (Gyneeda), and her oldest granddaughter Felicia Levasseur (Ulysses) as her children. Great grandmother of the late Raynes Myers, Jr. Great great grandmother of the late Lauryn Mi-Liyah Iron.  Daughter of the late Ike Bell, Sr. and Lillian Brown.  Stepdaughter of the late Nathaniel Brown, Sr.  Sister of Michael Bouie (Linda)  Percy, Freddie, WB, Joe and William Bell, EJ Bell, Nathaniel Brown, Jr., Betty Meriwether (John), Gloria Valentine, Juanita Dilbert (Earl), JoAnne McGee (Edwin), Ida Miller, Lillian Jones, Bessie Brown-Jones, and the late Leroy Green, Ike Bell, Jr., Leroy Bell, Eugene Bell, Salley Mae Cole, Helen Bouie, Barbara Stark, Gwen Bouie , and Theola Lindsey.  Niece of Junella Austin.  Ruby is also survived by her devoted son-in-law Willie Burrell, her lifelong companion Jimmie Linette, 35 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Orin Grant, Sr. of the St. Paul Baptist Church, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
