Henry Jackson Edwards, Jr.

Henry “Hank” J. Edwards, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the age of 98. He was a native of Oil City, LA (Caddo Parish) and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Loving husband of the late Mary Alice Carrere Edwards. Devoted father of Andrea Edwards (Roosevelt) Andrews and Ronda Edwards (Emanuel) Badie. Grandfather of Harold V. (Apryl) Roussell, Jr., Niquel Andrews (Corey) Laneair, Emond Badie (Ashley Ellis), Monica Badie (Gerald) Lane, and Rana Badie (Larell Sonnier, Sr.). Great grandfather of Alanna Roussell, Morgan Laneair, Imani, Ahlai, and Aria Badie, Marhli Lane , and Larell Sonnier, Jr. Son of the late Henry J. Edwards, Sr. and Sallie Phillips Edwards. Devoted friend of Annie Smith, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches; employees of LCMC-CBO, Ochsner-Kenner and Canon Hospice are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Father Eugene F. Jacques, SSE, Celebrant Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.; Recitation of the Rosary 8:45a.m.; and Celebration of Life 9:15a.m.
