Edward “Jelly Belly” Williams departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 72. He was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Edward attended Lincoln High School and was a former employee of Pipeline Refinery. Beloved husband of the late Doris Ann Williams by first marriage and the late Doris “Dot” Williams by second marriage. Loving father of Lionel (Tia) Bell, JoeAnn (Willie) McClure, and Edward (Dionne) Bell. Stepfather of James Bell, Christella Holmes, Robert Bell, Trenise Chopin, Melvina (Angelo) Burns, Lisa (Stephen) McGill, and Janice Martin. Son of the late James Williams, Sr. and Virginia Williams. Brother of the late James Williams, Jr., Albert Williams, Earl Williams and Clarence Williams. Devoted friend of Louis “Lou” Banks; also survived by 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Little Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Artco Industries, Morgan Welding Services, and Marriott Towne Plaza Suites of Houston, TX are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA
