Willis Butler, III

Willis “Sputnik “ “ DJ Willis” Butler, III entered into eternal rest on Thursday,  April 26, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center.  He was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA.  Willis was a 1977 graduate of West Jefferson High School.  He was employed as a Customer Service Rep for several local businesses, and a Music Collaborator with a great passion for music.  Beloved husband of 10 years to Theresa Green-Butler. Loving father of Latoya Victoria Butler (Harrison) Lomax and Willis Butler IV.  Stepfather of Glenn, Ronald, Tyiesha, Maggie, and Kewanna Dickerson.    Beloved son of the late Willis Butler, Jr. and Shirley Mae Henderson-Butler.  Grandson of the late James and Hazel Henderson, J.C. and Victoria Hall.  Devoted brother of Terrell, Jerome(Crystal), and Rodrick (Josephinna) Butler.  Devoted friend of Carl Jackson, Wayne Griffin, and Darrel Coleman; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 nieces, 6 nephews, and host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends, pastor, officers, members of Second Highway Baptist Church and Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Second Highway Baptist Church, 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
