Wilbert Ruffin, Jr.

August 21, 1966 — April 26, 2018

Wilbert “Pig” Ruffin, Jr. departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 51. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  Wilbert attended Edna Karr and L.B. Landry High Schools and was employed in construction.  Loving father of Brandon Ruffin and Wilbet Ruffin III.  Beloved son of Celeste Brooks Ruffin and the late Wilbert “Cooney” Ruffin, Sr.  Grandson of the late Nat and Sarah Brooks and Henry and Josephine Ruffin.   Brother of Shirley R. Crump, Jerome (Linda) Ruffin, and the late Joan and Cheryl Ruffin; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church, New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church, and all neighboring churches; employees Matherine Plastering are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.  Interment: Will Be Private.  To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com.
