Emily James Craft

Emily”Pumpkin” James Craft entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her residence at the age of 73. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Emily was a 1963 graduate of Xavier Prep High School. She received her BA and MA degrees in Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge.

Beloved wife of 48 years to Isaiah Craft. Devoted mother of Donald “Ricky” and Brandy Craft (Daron). Daughter of the late Burnett and Mildred James. Granddaughter of the late Govan and Emily Bell Baker. Sister of Jennifer James Turner (David Sr.) Grandmother of Byron, Chardonnay, Jonathon, Kady, Brantley and the late Bryson B. Craft. Aunt of David, Jr. and Michael (Britney). Great aunt of Daniel Michael. Close friend of Gloria, Joann, Elaine, Linda, and Vera, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
