Dorothy Johnson Brantley

Dorothy “Granny” Brantley peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the age of 86.  She was a native of St. John Parish, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Granny, as she was affectionately known greatest joys was going to church, eating out, and shopping for purses with her granddaughters.  Devoted mother of Linda (Ellis), Michael, and Betty, and the late Joyce White.  Grandmother of the late Joshua Brantley.  Daughter of the late Paul and Orita Poche.  Sister of Herman, Nita (Gary), Sterling (Carolyn), and Rita (Alton); she was preceded in death by 4 brothers. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd.
