Joseph Ruffin, Sr.

Joseph “Joe” Ruffin, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the age of 82.

He was a native and resident of Algiers, LA.

Devoted husband of Viola Mack Ruffin. Beloved father of Deirdre (Ronnie) Julien, Kendall Ruffin, Jessica (Kevin Smith) Ruffin, and Joseph Ruffin, Jr., Darryleen R. (Kevin) Matthews, Herbert (Henrietta) Goirl, Jr., Keith (Dorinda) Mack, Sr., Rosalind (Bobby) Brown, Clifford Ruffin, and the late Antoinette, Denitra, and Ray Ruffin. Son of the late Henry and Josephine Felo Ruffin. Brother of the late Henry, Jr. and Wilbert Ruffin, Bertha Jackson, Albertha Anderson, Hannah Prince, and Joyce Lewis, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives, friends, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Good Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Good Hope Baptist Church Algiers,  LA on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Will Be Private
