Doris Landry Cola was call home to glory on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of 78. She was a native of Napoleonville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years with Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She later worked as a cook for Children’s World Nursery, from which she retired after many years of service. Beloved wife of 58 years wonderful years to Edward Cola, Sr. Devoted mother of Aritha (Alfred) Merrick, Charlotte Cola, Andrell Joseph, Edward (Lena) Cola, Jr., Deyonko (Raymond) Brown, Kendall Cola and the late Wanda Cola. Loving grandmother of Sangria, Jason, Somalia, Darane, Lyndrell, Lennox, William and Daelon. Great grandmother of Kylie and Nyla. Daughter of the late Adolph and Rosetta Landry. Sister of Olivia L. Johnson and Ulysses Landry, and the late Wilbert, Leonard, Alcee, Clarence, Joseph, Murray and Hilda Landry, Gertie Williams, Octavia North, and Birdie Hayes. Sister-in-law of Virgil, Louise, and Edna Landry, and the late Edward Johnson, and Alice Landry; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of KFS Ministries, First House of Prayer and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at KFS Ministries, 2826 LaSalle St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor George Guidry, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
