Lottie Mae Banks Knoten entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the age of 85. She was a native of Canebrake, LA, a former resident of Harvey, LA, and presently residing in Marrero, LA with her daughter and son-in-law Thomas III and Roxie Gasper. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Solomon Knoten, Sr. Loving mother of Artruly (Donnie) Harris, Roxie (Thomas III) Gasper, Lottie Washington, Mary (Melkile) Favorite, Rev. Solomon (Sandra) Knoten, Jr., Purcell and Lionel Knoten. Grandmother of the late Andrew Washington, Jr. Daughter of the late Hearvey and Lillie Banks. Sister of the late Leon Banks, Rosie Carter, Leola Smith, and Ideall Banks. Sister-in-law of the late Junior Johnson; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Sunrise Baptist Church, Isreal Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Isreal Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Johnny McKinnies, host pastor; Elder James Cheatteam, pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
