Maurice Edward Smith

Maurice E. Smith departed this earthly life on Friday, June 1, 2018 at his residence at the age of 73.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Beloved companion of Tongia A. Anderson.  Loving father of Marla, Kristin, Maurice, Jr., Maurice, Jr., Bryan, Makeeda, Maurice “Lil Maurice”, Jehrana, and Jashauna.  Son of the late Alfred, Sr. and Louise McFloyd Smith.  Brother of Barbara Marshall, Emelda Rivers, Alfred Smith, Jr., Maude Parker, Lloyd Smith, Tyrone Smith, Lois (Rogue) Norman, and the late Odessa Robison; also survived by 11 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST.
