Adolph James Creighton, Sr.

Adolph “Grandpaw Rapper” James Creighton (Crayton). peacefully departed this earthly life on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Passages Hospice at the age of 77. He was a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of Crowley, LA. James served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Devoted husband of Cynthia Lewis-Creighton. Father of Adolph “Samson” James Creighton, Jr., Letonya Michelle Creighton, Marcel (Kyra) Aggison, and Marcus (Adamisha) Aggison. Stepfather of Airel Lewis, Christopher Lewis, and Brandon Lewis. Son of the late Freddie and Luberta Crayton. Brother of Alphonse Ross and the late Delores Lucas Johnson, Hilda Lucas Harris, Julia Mae Ross Rodrigue, Margie Crayton Dixon, Anabelle Crayton Kitchen Elizabeth Geraldine Crayton-Thornton, Winston Ross, Freddie Crayton, Jr., Anthony Anderson Crayton, and Harvey Crayton. Son in law of Louella Jones-Lewis and the late Lloyd Lewis, Sr. Brother in law of Darrell Lewis, Denise Riley, Iris (Darryl) Brown, Gail (Dion) Brown, Lloyd Lewis, Jr., and Alex Lewis, also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00a.m.
