Leonard James Lawrence

Leonard James Lawrence departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the age of 61.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA.  Leonard was employed as a Senior Electronic Technician with the NOPD.  Devoted father of Chavon M. Lawrence.  Loving grandfather of Chandrick L. Lawrence.  Son of the late Noles A. Lawrence and Emma Harrison Lawrence.  Grandson of the late Noles Lawrence, Lillie Lawrence, Carrie Harrison, and Armstead Louis Harrison.  Brother of Noles A. Lawrence, Lawrence N. Hartzog, Wayne T. Wilson, Sr., Chevalier Cleaves, Chenault Williamson, Adrell Lawrence (Nolan) Pinkey, and Triconne Brooks; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches; employees of NOPD and members L. B. Landry Class of 1975 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
