Lona D. Moore

Lona Louise Davis Moore entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her residence at the age of 70.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey LA.  Lona was a graduate of Delta Business College, and a retired receptionist of the Better Business Bureau.  Beloved wife of Edd Freddie Moore.  Loving mother of D’Etta M. Picou (Charles), Samantha I. Badon (Gary), Munson T. Sims III (Doris), and Allen Washington, Jr. (Claudia).  Daughter of Rosa Mary Davis Bradley and the late Raymond Mitchell.  Sister of Elie Croom, Jr., Raymond Mathis, Shirley Delaney, Rose Turner, Barbara Mitchell, and the late Catherine (Hattie) Hayes, and Shirley Foxworth; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith Family Worship Church International and all neighboring churches; employees of the Better Business Bureau, Winn Dixie, CVS, Loews, Golden Medals, Richards and Metro Disposal, Lumber Products, About You Sitting Service, and Fair Grounds Racing Course and Casino are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Family Worship Church International, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Antoine Barriere, senior pastor; Elder Otis Wafer, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
