Marzett Joel Holmes

Marzett Joel Holmes departed his life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 for a better life on the other side with the Lord at the age of 32. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Marzett was also known as Zett to all of his family and friends, he will always be remembered for his lovable, kind, and humble spirit.

Beloved father of Marzett Holmes Jr., Markayla Holmes his unborn child, Kiwann Young, Kyla Keys, and Kameron Rayford. Devoted son of Vida Holmes Degree and Joel Marzett Dunn. Stepson of Ralph Degree. Mother of his kids Keyana McDaniel and Crystal Keys. Brother of Aaron (Cassandra) Holmes, Sherry (John) Lemons, Lonzell (Erika) Holmes, Molisha Holmes, Ralph (Kaylynn) Holmes, Ayanna Holmes, Veronica Freeman, Deborah Powell, Katrina Houston, Marlo Houston, Jaward Degree, Leward Jones, Nadia Jones, Terrance Jones, and Natalie Jones. Nephew of Betty Encalade, Audrey (Ellis) Williams, Sherry (Eric) Washington, Patrice(Eddie) McKinnis, and Terry (Marvin) Johnson. Godson of Patrice and Eddie McKinnis. Godfather of Patrice Mckinnis, Deante Holmes, and Darnell Holmes. Bestfriend of Rufus Antione and Lawrence Gilfert. Proceeded in death by Lucille Smith Holmes, Flandus Holmes Sr, Anthony Griffin, Jerry Holmes, Flandus Holmes Jr, Gina Holmes, Alice Thomas, George Smith, Dejuan Antione, and Edward Jeffron, also survived 5 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friend of the family are invited of attend the funeral service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.

Interment: Evening Star Cemetery-Harvey, LA.
