Lionel Jones

Lionel Jones, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Loving husband of Deborah Johnson Jones.  Devoted father of Brenna Williams (Calvin) Collins, KaShanta Jones (Brandon) Moore, and Vernell Jones.  Son of the late Arthur and Helen Kelly Jones.  Brother of Dr. Matthew (Lynette) Causey, Ralph Arthur Jones, Diane Jones-Smith and the late Warren Jones and Inez Jones-Holmes.  Son-in-law of Rosalie B. Johnson.  Brother-in-law of Ruth Jones, Amanda Ferrand, Leroy Holmes, Lloyd, Zarak, and Deayne Johnson; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Sewerage Dept., Department of Children and Family Services, Tulane Hospital and Clinics, and Southern University at New Orleans are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 236 Robinson Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Melvin C.
