Leroy Benn, Jr.

Leroy “Leeky” Benn, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at University Medical Center at the age of 43.  He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  Leroy was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School.  He was employed as a Construction Leadman with Coastal Cargo Company.  Companion of Chante Sparks. Loving father of Ty’Qual, Leroy, Lequal, Leah, Leroy III, Juanye’, Javen, Lindell, Leron, Jonvair, and Lequan.  Son of Leroy Benn, Sr. and Linda Motley (Phillip).  Grandson of Evelyn Henry and the late Betty Benn, Wilbert Owens, John Henry, Sr., and Florence Casey.  Brother of Derrick, Jeremy (Shandrika), Frances, Leroy, Precious, Telesha (Shawn), Leroylynn and Gidget. Longtime friend of Ebony; also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00a.m. Rev. Anthony Ruffin, Sr. of Mt. Olive Baptist Church #1 of Algiers, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
