Joyce Ann Davis

Joyce Ann Fazande Davis entered into eternal life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the age of 80.  She was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Joyce was the former owner of J&J Sweetshop.  Beloved wife of the late Jessie Davis. Loving mother of Roslyn D. (Bennett) Veal, Jessie K. Davis, and the late Carol Boatner.  Great-grandmother of the late L’oreal Mason.  Daughter of the late Gustave Fazande and Isabella Brooks.  Sister of the late Alice Dales, Hilda Simmons, Mildred Brown, Shirley Jackson, Larenza Martin, Leon Fazande, Jr., Otis Fazande, Sr. and Oakley Fazande, Sr.  Godmotherof Susan D. (Clarence) Ussin.  Sister-in-law of Floyd (Lorraine) Davis, Rev. George (Doris) Davis, Sr., Estella Poston, Ethel Fazande, Shirley Fazande, and the late Alice Taylor, Carrie Tatum, Joe, Willie and Robert Davis; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of True Vine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at True Vine Baptist Church, 249 Sala Ave. Westwego, LA on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Leander Johnson, officiating  Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m. until service time ONLY at the above named church.
