Aletha Lambert Washington

Aletha Lambert Washington departed this life on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the age of 81. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Wife of the late Arthur Washington, Sr.  Loving mother of Arthur Washington, Jr., Brenetta W. Meads, and Don E. (Joyce) Washington, I.  Grandmother of Rodney G. Washington, II, Jeremy B. Meads, Don E. Washington, II, Regena Washington, and Reikeisha W. Pollock.  Great grandmother of Tavion and Reilyn Pollock.  Daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred Johnson Lambert.  Sister of Evandus, Ricky , and Craig Lambert, Lavinia Darensburg, Mildred Gilson, Barbara Lambert, Gail Shannon, Desire Lewis, Sharon Brooks, Donna Hodges, Tyra McDonald, Samantha Baker, and the late Herbert, Leo, and Hollis Lambert, Elouise Gamble and Sallie Divens.  Mother-in-law of Pinkie Washington; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Hope Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church, Life Center Cathedral, Hosanna Fellowship, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Hope Baptist Church, 434 7th St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Warren E.
