David Carter, Sr.

David Carter, Sr. departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the age of 84.  He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  David was a retired construction supervisor with Atmos Entergy.  Beloved husband of Joyce Carter.  Loving father of Mark Carter and Alvin Ruffin.  Son of the late Willie and Fannie Carter.  Brother of the late Joseph Jackson, Simon Jackson, Hilda Howard, Alice Butler, and Mary Green; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Andre Sigler, officiating  Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the church.
