Mary Louise Armstead

Mary Louise Armstead transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 76.  She was a native of Lockport, LA, a former resident of Algiers, LA, and presently residing in Harvey, LA.  Mary was a former employee of Algiers Cab and Jo Ellen Smith. Loving mother of Debra Miles, Shawn Armstead, Cheyanne Jones, Charlene (Michael) Ramsey, Louis Bush, Calvin Armstead, Lance (Dana) Armstead, and the late Dwayne Armstead. Great grandmother of the late Terrion Jones. Daughter of the late Juanita Bush.  Granddaughter of the late Louis Lawrence.  Sister of Barbara, Darlene, Celestine, Janice, Mary Lee, Neel, Gwen, Brenda, Annie Bell, Gail, Benny Stanley, Darnell, and the late Edward, Betty, Dianne, and Elaine Bush.  Niece of the late Helen Cheatham; also survived by 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith Family Worship Church, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Family Worship Church, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Antoine M. Barriere, host pastor; Minister Lance Armstead, officiating  Viewing will be held from 9:00a.m. -10:00a.m ONLY at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale.
