Ranell Roland Franklin

Ranell “Pops” Roland Franklin, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the age of 68. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Ranell attended Plaquemines Parish School System and retired from United States Environmental Services after many years of services. Beloved husband of the late Janice P. Franklin. Devoted father of Kayone (Joseph) Franklin-Ford and Kiran (Inez) Franklin, Sr. Grandfather of Tyran Barbain, La’Var Ford, Kaiya, Kiran, Jr., Ocean, and Forgiven. Son of Helen Franklin and the late Ranell Franklin, Sr. Brother of Sheila Williams, Carlene Miller, David, Sr. (Patsy), Diane, Rodney (Elaine), Reginald (Judy), Ricky (Linda) Willie (Wanda), and Buddy (Melissa) Franklin, and the late Ronald, Donald, and Lillie Franklin, also survived by sisters in law, brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends also pastors, officers, and members of Israelite Baptist Church, WestPoint Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Plaquemines Parish School Broad, United States Environmental Services, Heart of Hospice, and Merakey Behavioral Health are invited to attend the Viewing of Remains at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Israelite Baptist Church 144 Villary St. Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Kenneth M. Parker officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at the above named church.

Interment: Little Rock Cemetery-Belle Chasse, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
