Miami Gibson Williams entered peacefully into eternal rest at Wynhoven Health Care Center on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 85. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Miami was a retired Social Service Specialist and Foster Care Liaison for the State of Louisiana Office of Family Service. Loving wife of Joseph Williams, Jr. Devoted mother of Rodney (Clementine), Aledia, Chris (Willie), and Vincent Williams. Daughter of the late Henry Gibson, Sr. and Albertha Williams Gibson. Sister of Coleman Gibson, Delores Schexnayder, Angie Brown, Gloria (Laphalle) Fuller, Janet Johnson, and the late Henry Gibson, Jr., Florida Carey, and Bertha Ann Gibson. Sister-in-law of Elvera Felton, Matthew Miles, Sr., and Horace Chess; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Visitation at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral Service will be held at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 8:45a.m. Pastor T. A. Hodge, officiating Viewing will be held from 7:30a.m.-8:45a.m ONLY at the above named church.
