Lois Ann Williams Vaughn departed this life at Touro Infirmary Hospital on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 70. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Lois was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and a retired employee of Conoco Inc. / CAGA. Beloved wife of Louis Vaughn, Jr. Devoted mother of Louis Michael (Stephanie) Vaughn, III and Stephen Patrick Vaughn. Grandmother of Victor L. Vaughn, Briana K. Vaughn, Zachary C. Vaughn, Nicholas L. Vaughn, Jacob P. Vaughn, and David X. Williams. Daughter of the late Almenia Williams and Lloyd Jones. Granddaughter of the late Joseph and Selina Williams. Niece of Elvera Felton, Joseph Williams, Jr., and the late Madeline Clement, Dorothy Antoine, Gloria Stevenson, Mary Miles, Matthew Williams, Daisy Powell, Almina Williams, and Eveling Chess. Daughter in law of the late Louis, Sr. and Ellamae Vaughn. Sister in law of Joan V. (Lawrence) Dumes, Ellanease V. (Bishop James) Brown, Janice M. Vaughn, and Rickey (Debbie) Vaughn. Niece In law of Horace “Pete” Chess and the late Miami G. Williams, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends Mass will be held to celebrate the life of Lois at St. Cletus Catholic Church 3600 Claire Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until mass time at the church.
