Sammy Lee Merrick

Sammy Lee Merrick entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Foundation Hospital on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 59. He was a native of Boothville-Venice, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Sammy was a certified crane operator LBC, TLL and a heavy machine operator for James Marine INC.

Beloved husband of Wanda M. Merrick. Devoted father of Chantell (Leon), Michael (Kelleen), Kentrell (Cyrstal), Latrell (Mitchell), Tirrell (Michelle), and Samaria. Son of Myrtle I. Merrick and the late Lionel Merrick, Sr. Brother of Don (Van) Merrick, Dede (Greg) Dawsey, and the late Lionel Merrick, Jr., and Johnny Merrick, also survived by 20 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness 5325 August Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 3:00p.m.
