Valerie Rene Guilford

Valerie Rene Walker Guilford departed this life at her residence on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the age of 57. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Ama, LA. Valerie was a graduate of Walter L Cohen High School Class of 1979 and attended Louisiana State University. She was employed at Ochsner Hospital for over 20 years in Laboratory Information Services.

Beloved wife of Lawrence Joseph Guilford, Sr. Devoted mother of Kimberly Nicole Walker (Geoffrey) Broomfield, Kristen Lauren Guilford (Michael) Ezimuo, and Lawrence Joseph (Deatris) Guilford, Jr. Daughter of Gus Keys and the late Barbara Risin. Sister of George Paschall. Niece of Helen Williams and the late Noney Wilson, and Flora Ann Bethley. Devoted cousin/friend of Tammy (Perry) Adolphus, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers and members of Church of Christ (Belle Chasse) are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00p.m.

Visitation will begin at 12:30p.m. at the parlor.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery –Avondale, LA.
