Mary Louise Mitchell

Mary Louise (Maggie) Mitchell, a homemaker passed away at her residence on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the age of 76. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA, but she also lived in Detroit, MI, Vallejo, CA, and Austin TX.

Devoted mother of Rosalyn (Calvin) Favors, Darlene (Rodney) Wall, David Mitchell, James Mitchell, Paul (Liz) Mitchell, and Malcolm Mitchell. Daughter of the late Mitchell, Sr. and Onita Royal Mitchell. Granddaughter of the late Martha Nelson. Aunt of the late Nelson Wait, III. Sister in law of the late Germaine Mitchell. Sister of Elenora (Joseph) Clinton, Edward (Lillian) Mitchell, Jr., Lionel Mitchell, Gwendolyn Waits, of Austin, TX, Clark Ray Mitchell, Patricia Sonia, and Roderick Mitchell, also survived by 15 grandchildren, including Emmett Garrison IV, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.at the above named parlor.

Interment: Providence Park Cemetery –Metairie, LA.
