Norna Barrie Armstead

Norna Marcell “Mustang Sally” Barrie Armstead entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA.  Wife of the late Gary Lee Armstead, Sr. Beloved companion of Keith Hill.  Loving mother of Gary Lee Armstead, Jr. (Chanda) of Englewood, CO, Prince Saladine Armstead, and Mignon Utionette Hazel Johnson of Glendale, AZ. Grandmother of Donovan, Taylor, Gabrielle, Jordan, and Cayla Armstead, Rayhanah Johnson, Na’Zyiah Williams, and JaZhara Johnson. Daughter of Thomas Williams and Hazel Alvarez of Glendale, AZ. Granddaughter of the late Ames Growe and Leona Hodges Growe.  Sister of Hazel Utionette Valentin of Phoenix, AZ, B’Lynn Carter (Jose) of Bronx, NY, and the late Karl Barrie.  Devoted cousin of Jackie Williams, Jackie Growe, Keven Growe, and Jonathan “Bodeen” Growe.  Lifelong friend of Sandra Jenkins; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
