Samuel Louis Cooks

Samuel L. Cooks passed away at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 74. He was a native of Marks, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Longtime companion of Denise Pierre. Son of late Elizabeth Holston and T. W. Cooks, also survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Redemption Church and neighboring churches; employees of SMB, Sodexo @ Dillard University, Audubon Nature Institute, NOCS, Ochsner Medical Center Westbank, and Houston Methodist Hospital are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin 8:00a.m. at the above named parlor.           

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
