Nancy Allen Howard

Nancy “Ms. Kitty” Mae Allen-Howard, age 74, departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center.  She was a native of Ferriday, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Nancy retired after 20 years of service as an employee of Metropolitan Development Center (formerly Belle Chasse State School).  She and her husband were also business owners for many years.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Howard, Jr.  Loving mother of Brenda (Spencer) Houston,   Kendra (Tiseman) Howard, Debbie Howard, Clarence (Shannon) Howard, Joseph (Elizabeth) Howard III, Devin (Stephanie) Howard, Sr., Victor (Theresa) Howard, and the late Wilbert Howard.  Grandmother of the late Hannah Howard.   Daughter of the late Thomas and Daisy Allen.   Sister of Castanna (the late Pastor G. Washington), Mary (Lloyd), Gladys, Jette (Melikile), Charles (Mary), Jimmy (Angela), Larry, Timothy, William, and the late Katie Glass, Dorothy Allen, Daisy Williams, Thomas Jr., Henry, and Theodore Allen. Devoted aunt of Robert “Bam” Williams. Sisterly cousin of Janie Allen.  Sister-in-law of Deborah (Irvin) Jones and Ruby White.  Godmother of Cassandra Williams and Patrick Francis.  Devoted friend of Joyce Ott, Marilyn Payne, Shave Houston, and Mildred Castille; also survived by 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, Israel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Johnny McKinnies, host pastor; Pastor Ricky Johnson, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
