Gissiander Clifford Wright

Gissiander Clifford Wright departed this life on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Tulane University Medical Center at the age of 69.  He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Gissiander was a former forklift operator with Cargill Inc.  Beloved husband of Oreann Wright.  Loving father Clifford Wright (Sarah Noel), Seander Wright, and Caja Wright (Anthony Steven).  Son of Isreal Wright and the late Ophelia Wright.  Grandson of the late Rev. Joseph Howard, Sr. and Elonia Howard. Brother of David (Andrea) Wright, Erin (Mary) Wright, and the late Ezekiel, Patrick and Radford Wright. Nephew of Leborah (Irvin) Jones and Ruby White. Son-in-law of the late Ruby Wells.  Brother-in-law of Sylvia Jones, Kevin (Letrice) Wells, and Carl (Patricia) Wells.  Godfather of Sharon Larvenett (Michael Parker). Devoted friend of Rudolph Keller, Robert Douglas, and Harry Lucas; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, St Mary Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches; members of the U. S. Navy, and Henry Alexander and the Westbank Steppers are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTURY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
