Archie Ellis, Sr.

Archie Ellis, Sr. entered it eternal rest at his son residence in Slidell, LA on Saturday, November 2, 2018 at the age of 87. He was a native of East Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Devoted husband of the late Lou Ethel Ellis. Former husband of the late Mary Scott by first marriage.

Beloved father of Cassandra E. (Walter) Walker, Charles (Dorothy) Ellis, Lionel Ellis, and the late Archie Ellis, Jr. Grandfather of Brain Verett and Brandy Payne. Son of the late James Ellis, Sr. and Mathilda Lanaux Ellis. Brother of Lawrence Ellis, Sr., Florence Ellis, and the late Ophelia Daniels, and James Ellis, Jr. Brother in law of Ida Mae Davis, also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his cat Tom.

Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin 8:30a.m. at the above named parlor.             

Interment: Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery-Geismar, LA.
