Geraldine D. Jones

Geraldine Davis Jones peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the age of 75.  She was a native of McDonoghville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Geraldine was a graduate of UNO and Southern University of Baton Rouge.  She was a retired educator of the Jefferson Parish Public School System.  Beloved wife of Melvin Jones.  Loving mother of Annette M. Jones, and Eric M. (Lisa) Jones of Baton Rouge, LA.  Grandmother of Jarrith Jones, Jarrick Raven, and Jarnisa Wade.  Daughter of the late Eddie and Rosella Davis.  Sister of Willie Mae Selico and the late Willie Davis, Joseph Davis, Dorthy Roy, and Rosella Tate.  Geraldine is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist church, St. Mark Baptist Church, Life Center Ministries, Love Fellowship Ministries and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish School Board, Children’s Hospital, West Jefferson Medical Center, Ochsner Medical Center Westbank, East Baton Rouge Sheriff Department; faculty and staff of John Ehret and West Jefferson High Schools; members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Prince Hall Masons are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd.
