Orelia Darlene Grant

Orelia Darlene Grant entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 59. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Devoted mother of Shemaiah Grant. Daughter of the late Lucius and Melanie Grant. Granddaughter of the late L C and Will Ella Grant, Leo Coleman, Sr., Mildred Daniels Coleman Volson. Loving brother of Michael Grant, Sr. Aunt of Michael Grant, Jr. Niece of Audrey Lee Armand, Mildred Brown, Lillie Mae Johnson, Debra Volson, Earl Coleman, and George Volson, Sr., and the late Leo Coleman, Jr., James Coleman, Steve Coleman, Richard Coleman, F.M. Newton, Learthur Johnson, and Evelyn Garrison. Godmother of Monanika Collins and Jaron Collins. Goddaughter of Marva Carey Coleman, also survived by a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church and neighboring churches; employees of Precious Little Lamb Daycare Center, West Jefferson Medical Center, Volunteers of America, and the United Parcel Service are invited to attend the funeral service at Progressive Church 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00a.m.
