Elnora R. Scott

Elnora Raymond Scott entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 95. She was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Elnora was a graduate of Leland College, where she was crowned Miss Leland 1943. She was a retired educator of the Jefferson Parish Public School System, after 33 years of service. Beloved mother of Cynthia S. Green, Eleanor “Faye” S. Donatto, and Edward “Eddie” R. Scott, Jr. She was also instrumental in the rearing of her grandson Darnell (Devona) Green.  Daughter of the late Rev. Frank Raymond, Sr. and Alma A. Smith.  Stepdaughter of the late William Smith. Granddaughter  of the late Sylvester and Rose Adams. Sister of Ceola Raymond Dumas, Octavia Raymond, and the late Iris Christian and Rev. Frank Raymond, Jr. Elnora was preceded in death by her grandson Toby Ray Donatto; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Second Highway Baptist Church, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Greater St. Stephen FGBC, Life Center Cathedral and neighboring churches; members of Jefferson Parish Retired Teachers and Westside Missionary Baptist Association are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church 6223 Sixth Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Edward Joseph, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.until service time at the above named church.
