Louis Alfonz Batiste, III

Louis “Lil Man” Batiste passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the age of age 37. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Lil Man as he was affectionally known to his family members and “Lou” to others. He received his educational foundation in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and was employed by Performance as a Pipefitter.

Devoted father of Ambria Lumar, Loukia Lumar and Laiya Ward. Beloved son of Mary Bush and Louis Batiste, Jr. Stepson of Vernon Bush, Jr. and Darlene Richburg. Loving grandson of Shirley Matthews. Brother of Kericha Batiste and Armond (Whitney) Batiste. Nephew of Martha (Billy) Raine, Jennifer (Nathaniel) Jones, Leona (Richard) Stevenson, Gustavia Matthews, Phyliss Batiste, Pamela Rose, Shree (Yule) Quinsey, Stephanie (James) Williams III, Melissa Batiste, Rev. Nelson (Cassandra) Matthews, and Willie Matthews. Uncle of Olivia Batiste, Jacques Batiste, and Malik Batiste, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Greater Zionfield Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
