Lawrence Antoine Gilson, Jr.

Lawrence Antoine Gilson, Jr., departed this life and began life eternal on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the age of 57.  He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Lawrence, affectionately called “Law” graduated from Lord Beaconfield Landry High School (Class of 1981), and attended Louisiana Tech University. 

Loving husband of Regina Bush Gilson.  Father of Kenyatta Bush, Deondrick Henry (Lynette), Latoya Henry Perrier (Dameon), and Michael Robinson, Jr. (Chelle). Grandfather of Alayshia Payne, Kylon Payne, Damyria Henry, Zyrin Gougis, Michaiah Robinson, Zyrionne Smith, Ziya Smith, Ma’Kyri Robinson, Zoe Smith, Zaliah Henry and Malaiah Robinson.  Son of Janice Hebert Gilson and the late Lawrence A. Gilson, Sr., and Mildred Lambert Gilson. Brother of Terrel Lynn Gilson, Germaine Gilson Vanison (John Jr.), and Gelair Gilson Butler (Rockquill).  Brothers and sisters in love Madeline Johnson, Gladys Perry, Vernon Bush, Sr. (Mary), Michael Bush, Sr. (Dorothy), Donald Bush, Sr. (Lucy), and Rodney Cambrice (Musheerah).  Lawrence is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. InspireNola Charter Organizations, and employees and patrons of Ponson’s Place are invited to attend the funeral services at Shiloh Baptist Church, 723 Magellan St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00a.m.

Pastor Larry J. Davis officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: McDonoghville Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
