Catherine Robinson Peters

Catherine Robinson Peters, age 69, was called by God to rest in His Heavenly Arms on Wednesday December 5, 2018.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Catherine was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School Class of 1966 and a member of the Buckanettes Dance Team.  She continued her studies at Southern University of Baton Rouge, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, and was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Catherine retired in 2013 from the Orleans Parish Public School System after 40 years of service as an English Teacher, Mentor Teacher, English Department Chair, and Education Grant Writing Coordinator.  She also served faithfully as a Director of Christian Education at her church.  Beloved wife of the late Williams Earl Peters. Loving and devoted mother of Tiffany Ann Peters of Houston, TX. Daughter of the late Homer L. Robinson and Mattie Washington Robinson.  Sister of Tommy Robinson, Walter Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Samuel Robinson, and the late Leola Robinson Peters and Homer Robinson, Jr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, Walker Family, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the Family, also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center Cathedral, Greater St. Stephen FGBC, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry Class of 1966 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Life Center Cathedral, 2100 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Bishop J. D. Wiley Taylor, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
