David McMillan, Sr.

David McMillan, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the age of 89.  He was a native of Brandon, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Beloved husband of the late Elodie Banks McMillan.  Loving father of Joan (Lee) Denomes, Elton (Christy) McMillan,  Elodie (Derrick, Sr.) Johnson, Ronald McMillan, Ernest McMillan, and the late  David (Robbie) McMillan, Jr.. Grandfather of Derrick, Jr., Eric, Sr., Inez, Precious, Eltyana, Ronald, and Terry.  Son of the late Sullivan and Sallie Grayson-McMillan. Brother of Alice McMillan, Celie McMillan, Marjoire McMillan-Butler, and the late Froster McMillan. Uncle of Charlene Tusan, Kevin Tusan and Monroe Williams; also survived by 25 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Macedonia Baptist Church, Second Highway Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1219 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Albert Mickel, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
