Estella Davis Poston

Estella Davis Poston entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 85.  She was a native of St. Joseph, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA.  Beloved wife of the late Robert Lee Poston.  Devoted mother of Marilyn (Johnny) Scott, Sandra (Solomon) Knoten, Ryan O’Neal Poston, Edward Lewis, and the late Carolyn and Sherman Poston. Grandmother of Terrily Howard, Jermaine Scott, Seconda Knoten, Starnisha Knoten, Rashard Lewis, Andrea Lewis, and the late Percy Howard.  Daughter of the late Joe Davis, Sr. and Estella Sexton Davis.  Sister of Dr. George (Doris) Davis, Sr., Floyd (Lorraine) Davis, and the late Willie, Jessie, Percy and Joe Davis, Carrie Tatum, Alice Taylor, and Mae Ellen Turner Davis.  Sister-in-law of Wilbert (Marilyn) Poston and Gladys Hunter both of California; also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 414 Westwego Ave. Bridge City, LA on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor George Davis, Sr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
