Anthony Lionel Margin, Jr.

Anthony “Tony” Lionel Margin, Jr., age 57, departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2019 at Tulane University Medical Center.  He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  He was a graduate of O. Perry Walker High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for 18 years.  Anthony was employed with the DOTD as a master repairman.  Beloved husband of 22 years to Karen B. Margin.  Loving father of Anthony Margin III, Latasha Mars, and Janean Skillern.  Grandfather of Kevin, Khalil , Karmen, Danya, Chasity, and Demin.  Son of  Anthony Margin, Sr., Mildred Veal, and the late Lois Sartin.  Brother of Shelia Dawana, Sharon, Mark (Clara), Joseph, Chris, James, and the late Pamela (Clarence).  Godfather of Jade and Joshua.  Devoted son-in-law of Vivian Byes. Brother-in-law of Wilbert (Debra), Allen, Brad (Melanie), Kurt (Veronica), Keith, and Terrance; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officer and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church, and all neighboring churches; members of O. Perry Walker Class of 1979; employees of DOTD and East Jefferson Hospital are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarine Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St. Algiers, LA on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter Crawford, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
