Joseph Stamps

Joseph “Joe” Louis Stamps (aka Jozef), age 80, departed this life on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Newark, New Jersey.  Loving father of Elder Pamela Stamps-Brooks, Michael Stamps, Ellis Brown, Gregory Duckworth, Anita Duckworth, Marilyn Duckworth, Sherell Stamps-Conde, Shuntrelle Stamps, Damon Stamps, Lucian Stamps, Dalton Stamps, Nicole Stamps, Theo Stamps, Adel Stamps, Marlin Stamps, Urick Stamps, Jozette Stamps, Karlyia Stamps, Shanaar Barber, Caprice Nash, Dyniah Stamps, Diasia Stamps, and Daniel Stamps. Son of the late Chester, Sr. and Celeste-Yates Stamps.  Brother of Dalton Stamps, Larry Stamps, Sr., and the late Chester Stamps, Jr.; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry Class f 1959 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Hope Baptist Church, 434 7th St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Warren Johnson, host pastor; Elder Albert Stamps, Jr., officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. at the above named church.
