David Hunter, Sr.

David Hunter Sr. entered into eternal rest at Carpenter House Hospice on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 88.  He was a native of Woodville, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA.  David was a retired iron worker and welder.  Loving husband of Yvonne Cass Hunter.  Devoted father of David (Deborah) Hunter, Jr., LaKiethia (Henry) Ross, Cynthia (Bobby) Kimbrough, Gregory (Felicia) McCloud, and Debra McCloud.  Son of the late Joe and Helen Hunter.  Brother of Jessie Hunter Walker, Laura Hunter Green, Ozean Hunter Vaughn, Evelina Hunter Henderson, and the late Mason Hunter, King Hunter, Doris Hunter Miles, Lelia Hunter Williams, and Mary Jolla. David is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Nextstep Health Services and Freightliner of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
